August 14, 2015

North Reading, MA (August 13, 2015)—TraceLink Inc., the world’s largest track and trace network for connecting the life sciences supply chain and eliminating counterfeit prescription drugs from the global marketplace, today announced that executives from leading pharmaceutical companies, strategic consultancies and systems integrators have joined the growing list of speakers at TraceLink NEXUS '15. The event, being held in Washington, DC on September 22 and 23, represents the first time that Internet and cloud computing visionaries, supply chain experts, and pharmaceutical leaders will gather to examine how the Internet of Things is transforming the future of track and trace in the life sciences industry.

The most recent speakers to participate in NEXUS ’15 include:

  • Patrick M. Schmidt (FFF Enterprises) – who will present “Building a Patient-Centric Supply Chain,” discussing how patient-first supply chain strategies and breakthrough innovations based on Internet of Things connectivity can ensure better supply chain efficiency, improve patient care in provider settings, and safeguard delivery of medicines to consumers;
  • Dave Colombo (KPMG) – who will present “Building Your Strategic CMO/CPO Network,” reviewing for attendees the key issues that pharmaceutical companies need to consider as they create their CMO/CPO network strategy, business management and data governance approach, IT architecture and procurement strategy;
  • Gil Roth (Pharma & Biopharma Outsourcing Association) – who will lead a panel discussion entitled “Serialization Readiness and Challenges in External Supply: The CMO/CPO Perspective,” providing attendees with deep insights from the supply partner perspective on serialization management and keys for creating a collaborative, successful business relationship; and,
  • Rafael Schirmer (SPI) – who will discuss “Brazil RDC 54 Compliance and the Brazil Supply Chain,” sharing regulatory insights into the evolving Brazil regulation and unique perspectives on the Brazil supply chain from pharmaceutical laboratory to private pharmacy chain and public hospital.

“Attendees at NEXUS ’15 will have unprecedented access to leading experts in the fields of Internet computing, track and trace strategy, and pharmaceutical supply chain management,” said Shabbir Dahod, president and CEO of TraceLink. “Unlike any other conference in life sciences, we’re creating an environment that will expose attendees to networking concepts and Internet connectivity models that they can apply within their own operations to unlock transformative supply chain value. At the same time, industry peers will share first-hand track and trace success stories and trade partner integration examples that illustrate significant patient care improvements. Last but not least, we’ll top things off with an extraordinary evening gala for all conference attendees at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum.”

Schmidt, Colombo, Roth and Schirmer join the already announced roster of select keynote speakers at NEXUS ’15, including technology and business visionaries, Sanjay Sarma, co-founder and director of the Auto ID Labs, MIT; Barry Blake, VP of Research, SCM World; Lora Cecere, founder and CEO, Supply Chain Insights; and Bill McBeath, Chief Research Officer, ChainLink Research.
