The official project description has now been published by CIO: Pfizer CIO 100 Project
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Pfizer's Track and Trace Serialization Project ensures that Pfizer medications are dispensed safety to millions of patients by creating and monitoring serial numbers on drug products and sharing the terabytes of product data with hundreds of global manufacturing partners. Built on the TraceLink Life Sciences Cloud application and Amazon Web Services, the cloud-based data-management platform simplifies supply chain management while ensuring compliance with government regulations by providing a single repository for serial numbers, product data, partner information, real-time supply network transactions and event data. As a result, Pfizer is able to respond faster to requests for information from global partners, reduce the time required to track and trace products through its global supply chain, speed up time-to-compliance with evolving regulations and protect patient safety.
