TraceLink has been named a semi-finalist for the 2012 Amazon AWS Start-Up Challenge Awards.
TraceLink and its cloud-based application platform (TraceLink Business Cloud) were selected from over 2,500 nominations. Watch this video where TraceLink's President and CEO Shabbir Dahod and SVP of Product and Cloud Engineering Peter Spellman describe the company's vision and how today's global life science industry challenges and Amazon AWS cloud technologies informed the design of TraceLink's network visibility, traceability and collaboration solutions.
Amazon highlighted several reasons for this honor including:
- TraceLink's solution capabilities for creating a globally connected, highly visible and fully traceable pharmaceutical supply network from raw materials through production, distribution and dispensation to the patient
- The company's innovative methods in using Amazon's AWS cloud platform technologies to create a high performance solution that is truly elastic and secure for TraceLink's global customers
- The management team's vision and dedication for protecting pharmaceutical integrity in the face of growing drug counterfeiting and improving access to essential medicines for patients around the world.
Winners for the Start-Up Challenge will be announced in late January 2013.
