Key Takeaway

  • The success of your supply chain hinges on one key metric: demand forecast accuracy.

Learn what The Hierarchy of Supply Chain Metrics tells us about the importance of demand forecast accuracy.

Transcript:
The Hierarchy of Supply Chain Metrics was developed by AMR Research based on the benchmarking of a number of pharmaceutical and other industrial manufacturers.

And what we established in that process was that all of your supply chains are dependent on one fundamental metric and that is the success and the accuracy of demand forecast.

Because if you get demand forecast wrong, you’re likely to get a lot of the other execution orientated tasks in the supply chain wrong.

In terms of the Digital Network Platform, it’s extremely important that our analysis is focused on sharing data to maximize the accuracy of the demand forecast.

And then translating all of the visibility and the analysis of performance across all the network partners to ensure that every network partner is delivering their component of their patient centric performance in a harmonized way.
