EU FMD Compliance for Hospital Pharmacies
The TraceLink mobile pharmacy application provides hospital pharmacies with a secure way to meet their EU FMD requirements and interface with the National Medicines Verification Systems. The mobile pharmacy application can facilitate the verification of medicines in a variety of business processes throughout the hospital pharmacy facility. Whether verifying and decommissioning at the point of receipt, at the point of dispense or somewhere in between, the application can be easily integrated into hospital pharmacies operational workflows.
Flexible integration - The application provides multiple verification options including a mobile interface, a web-browser interface and an application programming interface for integration with the existing patient medication record (PMR) system, automated dispensing robots, and ward trollies.
Pharmacy and Wholesaler business processes - Many hospital pharmacy facilities may be subject to wholesaler EU FMD requirements which mandate additional transactions and verification use cases. Through TraceLink, support for both standard dispenser and wholesaler use cases can be provided through a single solution.
Multiple dispensing scenarios - TraceLink also supports unique dispensing solutions that are common in hospital pharmacy facilities including centralized fill locations where individual medicines are aggregated, split packs and unit dose dispensing.
Expiry management - The application also provides details on which medicines have expired or are about to expire if those medicines are serialized and scanned upon good receipt.
