Overview

The EDI EDIFACT DESADV (Dispatch Advice) is the EDIFACT-standard electronic message used to communicate detailed shipment information in advance of delivery. Functioning as an Advance Ship Notice (ASN), it is sent by the supplier to notify the customer about the contents, packaging structure, transport details, and expected arrival of a shipment.

Through TraceLink’s OPUS Platform and B2N Integrate-Once™ architecture, the EDI EDIFACT DESADV empowers international trading partners with real-time visibility and seamless data exchange. This enables automated receiving processes, improved inventory accuracy, and a significant reduction in supply chain disruptions ensuring that global logistics operations remain efficient, compliant, and connected.
