Smart Event Manager creates and provides a serialized product event ledger, capturing, recording, and making available to business systems and users critical observations on serialized objects related to supply chain, warehouse, and retail / internal distribution network activities.

Smart Event Manager is designed to work with other TraceLink applications that consume and leverage serial number event observations, and enable workflow actions based on those observations.
- Provides synchronous REST JSON APIs to communicate and query for serial number operations integrated with barcode scanners, retail store / pharmacy management systems, and warehouse systems
- Capture serial number events including verification, shipment/receipt, destruction, and dispensation
- Capture observation data, including serial number, timestamp, location, market, event type, or other critical custom extension data
- Configure API messages to record new, and query for previous, events and observations
- Integration with other TraceLink solutions
- Smart Inventory Tracker. Capture events across distribution, retail, and internal distribution operations
- NMVS Compliance. Request or change status with national medicines verification systems
- Product Information Manager - Product Verification. Request serial number status (recalled, suspect, expired) and notify users of such status
- Serialized Operations Manager. Trigger the delivery of status update transactions from a 3PL to a brand owner/manufacturer
