The Multienterprise Information Network Tower, solution version 13.0 includes the following new supply chain orchestration:

Transportation

The transportation orchestration involves the coordinated and seamless execution of business processes across business objects related to distribution and transportation activities. It uses digitalization to streamline transportation processes, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between supply chain partners. For example, the transportation orchestration could enable end-to-end coordination between a retail distributor and its third-party logistics providers (3PLs), facilitating the seamless exchange of shipping manifests, route plans, carrier assignments, delivery status updates, and other business objects. This ensures efficient scheduling, tracking, and management of transportation activities as the distributor collaborates with its logistics network to deliver products to distribution centers and retail outlets. In this release, the transportation orchestration includes the following business objects:

  • Carrier Shipment Statuses
  • Routing and Carrier Instructions

The following new or updated functionality is included in this release.

Send Carrier Shipment Statuses in the Web UI

Companies that own Multienterprise Information Network Tower can send carrier shipment statuses in the Web UI. Carrier shipment statuses allow transportation carriers (e.g, trucking companies, 3PLs) to communicate with shippers on the progress of their shipments as they move through the supply chain. After the goods are delivered, the carrier sends a status message confirming the delivery and providing proof of delivery details. Owners and their Partners can create carrier shipment statuses; save a draft for submission at a later date; add, view, or delete line items before submitting the carrier shipment statuses to shippers. Additionally, Owners can search for carrier shipment statuses; view carrier shipment statuses details; troubleshoot, and resubmit carrier shipment statuses.

For companies whose Partners do not own Multienterprise Information Network Tower, Owners add their Partner's users to their network and assign them to the appropriate roles to enable them to create and submit carrier shipment statuses in the Web UI using the Owner's instance of Multienterprise Information Network Tower.

The carrier shipment statuses are available in the transportation orchestration.

Receive Carrier Shipment Statuses in the Web UI

Companies that own Multienterprise Information Network Tower can receive carrier shipment statuses in the Web UI. Carrier shipment statuses allow transportation carriers (e.g, trucking companies, 3PLs) to communicate with shippers on the progress of their shipments as they move through the supply chain. Owners and their Partners can search and view carrier shipment statuses from their 3PL partners or carriers, which enables them to quickly view the details and any changes the carrier may have made to the carrier shipment statuses information and line items.

For companies whose Partners do not own Multienterprise Information Network Tower, Owners add their Partner's users to their network and assign them to the appropriate roles to enable them to search and view carrier shipment statuses in the Web UI using the Owner's instance of Multienterprise Information Network Tower.

The Carrier Shipment Statuses are available in the transportation orchestration.

Send Routing and Carrier Instructions in the Web UI

Companies that own Multienterprise Information Network Tower can send routing and carrier instructions in the Web UI. Routing and carrier instructions allow shippers to communicate specific instructions to their logistics partners, carriers, and freight forwarders about how goods should be shipped. Manufacturers use routing and carrier instructions to communicate their upstream suppliers about which carriers to use when shipping to their facilities. Owners and their Partners can create routing and carrier instructions; save a draft for submission at a later date; add, view, or delete line items; or adjust payment terms before submitting the routing and carrier instructions to buyers. Additionally, Owners can search routing and carrier instructions; view routing and carrier instructions details; troubleshoot, and resubmit routing and carrier instructions.

For companies whose Partners do not own Multienterprise Information Network Tower, Owners add their Partner's users to their network and assign them to the appropriate roles to enable them to create and submit routing and carrier instructions in the Web UI using the Owner's instance of Multienterprise Information Network Tower.

The Routing and Carrier Instructions are available in the transportation orchestration.

Receive Routing and Carrier Instructions in the Web UI

Companies that own Multienterprise Information Network Tower can receive routing carrier instructions in the Web UI. Companies that own Multienterprise Information Network Tower can send receiving advice acceptances in the Web UI. Receiving advice acceptances are messages that allows the buyer to communicate with the supplier that goods or materials are received. Receiving advice acceptance verifies that the items have been delivered, checked, and accepted according to the order details. Owners and their Partners can create receiving advice acceptances; save a draft for submission at a later date; add, view, or delete line items; or adjust payment terms before submitting the receiving advice acceptances to buyers. Additionally, Owners can search receiving advice acceptances; view receiving advice acceptances details; troubleshoot, and resubmit receiving advice acceptances.

Support for File Download Functionality in the Web UI

Multienterprise Information Network Tower Owners and their Partners can now download transaction related files such as input files, output files, and inbound and outbound canonical representations on the Base Transaction Object and Serialization Traceability Object screens while searching for and viewing a given transaction (e.g, purchase orders). The file download feature is applicable to all transactions, whether they are sent or received, ensuring comprehensive access to critical data for analysis, troubleshooting, or archival purposes. Previously the input files, output files, and inbound and outbound canonical files were not available for download.

The file name appears as a click-able and download-able link in the user interface, allowing users to quickly access and retrieve the necessary files without additional navigation or complexity.

Stabilization and Usability Enhancements

This feature includes updates to TraceLink's internal APIs to improve the stability and usability of the Multienterprise Process Link application.

  • The enumerations EUDR - Due Diligence Reference Number (EUDR - DDR) and EUDR - Due Diligence Verification Number (EUDR - DDV) in referenceTransactionsTypeDefinition and b2bTransactionIdentifierReferenceTypeDefinition are updated for EUDR requirements.

  • The ORD-GQL request query handler is updated to support includeFields.

  • The Edit button is added to serialized shipment notices subtype screen to support resubmitting a processed transaction. Resubmitting a serialized shipment transaction directly from the Web UI in MINT enables Owners to quickly reprocess a serialized shipment without having resend the shipment from Serialized Operations Manager.

  • The following enhancements are made to the ASN subtypes:

    • The containerIdentifier attribute is added in subtypes and indexed.

    • PACKINGLIST and AIRWAYBILL enumeration values have been added to the b2bTransactionIdentifierType attribute.

    • COMPLETED, CREATED, IN_PROGRESS, CANCELLED enumeration values have been added to the deliveryStatus attribute.

    • The Indexes were added for BusinessName attribute related to Supplier , Customer , Ship from Location, ShipToLocation in the corresponding subtypes.

  • The Inventory Updates maps are updated to include features required for customer implementations.

This feature also includes other minor updates to improve the Multienterprise Information Network Tower solution's stability and its ability to communicate with other TraceLink apps and solutions.

Resolved issues

The transaction ID filter was missing from the Base Objects Search screen and Serialization Traceability Object Search screen, preventing users from filtering results by transaction ID.

The auto-filled Ship From Location value for Forecast Plan Response is incorrect due to a mapping issue.

TL-59544: Sent and Received Return Authorization Screens Improved Web UI

The Delete button is missing on all search pages of the Return Authorization and Return Authorization Response, and the Last Processed Date field is missing in Transaction Information section of the View and Edit screens of Return Request and Return Responses.

TL-59624: Forecast Plan Line Item Count Not Populated Web UI

The lineItemCount attribute on the Forecast Plan Search screen is not populated because the lineItem attribute is not being indexed.

TL-59708: Incorrect Menu Displayed in MINT UI for Partner Web UI

For the Material Consumed transaction, the menu permissions for the sentMaterialConsumed subtype for a Partner is linked to the Manufacturing-Supplier partner standard causing the Manufacturing – Customer sub menu to appear.

This issue has been resolved.
TL-59857: Missing Index in Line Item Count for Warehouse Ship Order Web UI

The LineItem is not visible on Warehouse Ship Order Search screen because the lineItem attribute is not indexed.

TL-61650: PO Transaction Failure Due to JSLT Map Issue Web UI

The Purchase Order JSLT map is incorrectly converting null values to numbers.

TL-62064: Validation Failure in ASN Subtype Web UI

The IB Contivo Map for IDoc accepts a packagingLevel input as a single character without converting it to a predefined enumeration in the canonical. As a result, the canonical saves the single-character input as is, leading to a validation failure in ASN subtype.

TL-62247: Redeliver Functionality Not Enabled for Serialized Shipment Notices Transactions Web UI

Users were unable to redeliver an existing Serialized Shipment Notices transaction in the Web UI.
